Visit to Stourport with Uncle Merv 3rd – 4th September!

Written by Amber Mottram on August 20, 2013

So we had a very productive couple of days in Stourport on Severn. We looked at a couple of boats at Stourport Marina called ‘Tetty’ and ‘Cornish Maid.’ The layout of Tetty was perfect as studio/live aboard boat and confirmed that we are looking for a 57ft semi trad or cruiser style boat. Still way out of our price range though! The following day we went to some boat builders and saw some luxurious wide beam barges (completely pie in the sky dreaming!) and saw some ex-hire boats for sale (much more likely) and looked at some shells. Still feels like a long way to go till we have our own boat but have narrowed down our specifications. A big thank you to Uncle Merv for making all the contacts and arrangements and for putting us up and especially for the stewed plums!
